Description
Developed at its R&D facility and manufactured at its plant in Atlanta, GA this unique propriety traffic paint SUPREME CHLORINATED RUBBER is a high performance, high solids, extremely durable, easy to use copolymer solvent based paint. VOC lowered ( using Acetone a VOC exempt solvent ). This formulation dries quickly to a hard, extremely durable finish even in humid cold conditions. The viscosity is adjusted to a spray consistency and is ready to use, thinning is not required or recommended. Apply SUPREME CHLORINATED RUBBER paint with a synthetic bristle brush, synthetic roller and airless spray striping equipment designed to handle solvent based paints. This formulation of chlorinated rubber paint is designed to be applied to as much as a 30 mil wet thickness in each pass. Two passes can be applied. Glass beads can also be added for more reflectivity. Cleanup of striping machine and uncured paint is done with paint thinner.
For parking lots, parking garages, side streets, curbs, SUPREME CHLORINATED RUBBER paint is an excellent choice. This formulation has good hiding power, good coverage, contains high solids and low VOC’s. Being a solvent based paint it is flammable. This special chlorinated rubber formulation is good for most substrates, except new asphalt and freshly applied seal coating. Its exterior durability, bead retention, abrasion resistance and adhesion to substrate is BEST IN CLASS for a one component traffic paint.
- Extremely TOUGH, DURABLE, WEAR RESISTANT. Good Coverage, High Solids, Acceptable VOC.
- Lower VOC ( Volatile Organic Compounds ), using acetone as a solvent ( VOC exempt ).
- As with any other paints, to avoid problems, mix / stir paint thoroughly / completely before use.
- 320 lineal feet per gallon when applied 4 inch wide stripe. 90 square feet per gallon.
- For a 4 inch wide line at app 15 mils we thickness, to cover a mile, 20 gallons will be needed
- Can be applied 15 mil wet thickness. Avoid excessive thick application, can lead to problems.
- Quick Dry times. 30 mins. to foot, 60 mins max to car traffic at 77 deg F, 50 % relative humidity.
- Can be applied with conventional airless spray machines that can handle solvent based paints.
- Caution: Flammable solvent base paint. Not recommended for use on freshly applied asphalt or fresh seal coating.
